Boxes, boxes, boxes

Card Boxes

I’ve been working on my card boxes over the last couple of days. The smallest one is nearly ready to be photographed and listed. That’s the one I applied paper and card stock decorations too. It turned out great and didn’t take that much time.

The medium box had better wood, so I stained it and waxed it. That took too much time, so I won’t do it again. The end result is nice though. It really looks like an old pirate treasure chest.

The largest one is waiting for my wood filler to arrive. I may try decoupaging a napkin on it. I have lots of pretty napkins from Michel Design Works that I’ve picked up at Tuesday Morning over the years. Sadly the closest Tuesday Morning in Redwood City closed earlier this year. To get newer pretty napkins I’d have to hike all the way down to south San Jose.

Older Cards

I have a stash of older cards, many of which I created during cardmaking classes. On the weekend I went through them and selected the best ones to list in my Etsy store and took photos of them. They' should be listed by the end of the week.

Pinkfresh Studios Event

Toward the end of February I’ve signed up for another cardmaking class with Pinkfresh Studios. I’m very much looking forward to it. Their previous classes have been fantastic. This is the kind of class that includes a lot of materials and the box should arrive today, if UPS are to be believed. Super excited about that. Their designs are just beautiful.

ShareAsale Affiliate

In business news I’ve been accepted as a shareAsale affiliate. That enabled me to apply for affiliate status at Scrapbook.com, DollarTree.com and some other sites I shop at all the time.
